It’s the time of the year when love is on everyone’s minds, especially for CVG travelers. Often, you will see an anxious lovestruck partner holding a bouquet of roses as they wait for their significant other to arrive at the Welcome Point. Or you may see eager parents holding a ‘congrats on your engagement’ sign as they wait for their happy couple near Baggage Claim. If you look around at CVG, you may even see a partner drop to one knee and propose to their special someone. In fact, a 2024 Jeopardy contestant, Evan Jones, described on the show how he spontaneously popped the question on top of the CVG Terminal Garage.
In the spirit of love and kindness, we asked our Facebook followers to share their stories of love taking flight at CVG. Their answers are heartwarming.

Travelers propose at CVG
“My husband and I got engaged here on January 5, 2019, when I was flying back home from Arizona. He picked me up at the airport with my best friend and his twin brother, and before going to baggage claim, he went down on one knee on the upper level!” – Rose W.

Long distance partners reunite
“CVG is my preferred airport to fly out of to see my long-distance partner. He lives over a thousand miles away, and we’ve been together for going on [three] years. I love CVG because they make it easy to see the people I love!” – Sara T.
Lifelong memories are made
“When I was dating, I was looking for someone well-traveled, or some[one] willing to travel with me. And that we did; [we] went to Antarctica and got married on a trip that started at CVG.” – Brandan J.

“My love took flight in utero at [seven] months out of CVG. [His] first flight was after birth at [two months]. [Seven years] and 41,000 miles later, all of my adventures start and end at CVG with my love.” – Renee G.

“Our love didn’t exactly take off at CVG, but it definitely has enough frequent flyer miles there to qualify for an upgrade!” – Elayna M.

“It’s been our home airport since 2004. CVG Airport grounded us, and we put our roots down to settle in this location. We are still just five miles away from where our love story started.” – Krasimira Beck, who fell in love with her husband and CVG while they both worked for restaurants at the airport

Passengers share their love for CVG
“We traveled from West Virgina to fly Allegiant to Las Vegas in December. It was our first time out of CVG, but we were very impressed! We had zero complaints, and the parking shuttle drivers were super nice. We’ll definitely look at CVG for our future travels!” – Sara N.
“CVG is my favorite by far… it is always so clean, comfortable, inviting, accessible and easy to get around. Keep up the good work!” – Ker B.
“We flew from CVG to Tampa and back in November with our medically complex kiddo. I can’t speak more highly of TSA at CVG. They were so nice, walked us through everything and ensured we made it safely through the line.” – Allie R.
