CVG is one of the fastest growing cargo airports in the world. To continue this growth, the airport has a vision to develop 350 acres of airside real estate on the airport's campus. This project is actively being developed as of 2024; its goal is to create a one-stop-shop on airport property with the development of additional aircraft repair and maintenance operations.
With front-door access to the airfield, CVG is positioned to support an aviation ecosystem that can manufacture, repair, maintain, and upgrade aircraft and their components. The full site is more than 350 acres and footprints are fully customizable.
Site Development Underway
The development of Hangar Row at CVG is already attracting investment. A grant from the U.S. Department of Transportation was announced in June 2024 for roadway planning. Also in 2024, the Commonwealth of Kentucky appropriated $20 million for site development.
