ACI World / January 11, 2024ACI World welcomes its first woman Chair: Ms. Candace McGraw, CEO of Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International AirportMontreal, 11 January 2024 – Airports Council International (ACI) World welcomes its first woman Chair, Ms. Candace McGraw, CEO of Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG), bringing her vast industry knowledge to lead the trade association of the world’s airports.Ms. McGraw will chair the ACI World Governing Board (WGB) that consists of 28 leading airport CEOs nominated by the regional ACI Boards, plus the Immediate Past Chair. The ACI WGB directs the organization through strategic discussions on key subjects for airport operators that reflect the concerns and interests of ACI members for the benefit of travelers and communities worldwide.Ms. McGraw’s appointment was approved at the ACI World Annual General Assembly in June 2023, and her two-year term will run until December 2025. Ms. McGraw has been involved in the ACI WGB since 2018 and has been ACI World Vice Chair since January 2022, succeeding Sheik Aimen bin Al Hosni, CEO of Oman Airports.Ms. McGraw became CEO of CVG in July 2011 and has over 30 years’ experience in aviation, legal affairs, and public administration. The Lane Report: CVG Airport announces new economic impact and 2023 end-of-year results
The Lane Report / January 10, 2024ERLANGER, Ky. — The Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG) is driving $9.3 billion in positive annual economic impact for the airport and the Cincy region. This new number comes from a recent study completed by the University of Cincinnati Economics Center based on 2022 data. In 2012, CVG’s impact was $3.5 billion; in 2015, it was $4.4 billion; in 2018, it was $6.8 billion; and in 2022, it was $9.3 billion.“Our mission is to be a catalyst that transforms our region. We are delivering on that mission. I’m extremely proud that we have increased our impact on the community by nearly $6 billion over the last ten years,” said Candace McGraw, chief executive officer of CVG. “What is equally as exciting is that our incredible milestone achievements from 2023 haven’t yet been added to the equation. Spectrum 1: Northern Kentucky airport expecting big increase in holiday travel over last year
Spectrum 1 News / Sam Knef / December 19, 2023HEBRON, Ky. – The Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport is planning for 330,000 travelers to fly in and out of the airport between Dec. 21-Jan. 2. That would be an 18% increase over 2022’s numbers.Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport spokesperson Mindy Kershner said that can be attributed to the airport adding two new airlines this year, following an overall trend.“Incrementally, every year since COVID, we have seen increases," Kershner said. "I think 18% is a pretty significant number over last year; we thought last year was pretty busy." Business Courier: Delta launches new international flight from CVG to Cancun
Cincinnati Business Courier / Chris Wetterich / December 15, 2023Delta Airlines will launch a new flight to Cancun, Mexico, on Dec. 16, its first new international flight since the airline relaunched service to Paris in 2022.Delta is matching the weekly, seasonal frequency to Cancun that its rival, American Airlines, established. American launched its Cancun flight on Dec. 9.The Delta flight will run from Dec. 16 through April 6.The flight times have changed since the new route was announced.
