Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport has hired a designer to overhaul the look of its front entrance, the tunnel between the terminal and gates and make it easier for passengers and guests to find their way around.
The airport’s board has approved a $1 million contract with Cincinnati-based design firm Gresham Smith to lead the project.
“The CVG entrance lacks a signature element that supports a sense of place that welcomes our customers and represents our brand,” according to an airport description of the project. “Identifying a sense of place will assist in the development of the sense of familiarity of our region we envision our passengers will experience when they visit our facilities.”
