Five of the six regularly served international destinations at Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport have seen steady performance in 2022 and 2023, with two Caribbean locales showing marked improvement, according to a Business Courier examination of federal airline data.
The percentage of filled seats on international flights heading to or from CVG – 79.2% – also is slightly above the national average.
The Bureau of Transportation Statistics data also gives the first glimpse at how British Airways’ new flight from CVG to London is performing.
Today, airlines at CVG regularly fly to six international markets: Paris, London, Toronto, Cancun, the Dominican Republic and Jamaica.
Over the past 21 months, airlines have offered more seats from CVG to Cancun than the other five destinations, with three out of four seats on those flights, both to and from CVG, filled. Frontier Airlines, Vacation Express and Viva Aerobus offer nonstop flights to Cancun. American Airlines and Delta Air Lines are adding nonstop service to the Mexican vacation destination in December.
The Business Courier previously reported that Delta Air Lines’ flights to Paris have been 79% full since flights resumed in August 2022.
