CVG Offers Hometown Welcome for All-Star Game

July 9, 2015 – CVG, in conjunction with community partners, is rolling out the welcome mat for passengers visiting the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky region for the All-Star Game.

“As the front door to the community, we want our passengers to feel welcome and experience the excitement in the region for the All-Star Game,” said Candace McGraw, chief executive officer, Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky Airport. “Hosting the All-Star Game in Cincinnati is an honor and we want to show our hometown pride.”

“On behalf of the Kenton County Airport Board, I would like to welcome passengers to the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky region for the 86th MLB All-Star Game,” said Wm. T. (Bill) Robinson III, Kenton County Airport Board Chairman. “We are pleased to join our surrounding community, to do our part in decorating the town for the All-Star Game in collaboration with the MLB.”

The All-Star Organizing Committee will have representatives onsite at CVG to welcome passengers to help with directions and transportation in the region from Thursday, July 9 through Wednesday, July 15. Musical quartets will also entertain passengers at various times on Friday, July 10 – Monday, July 13.

REDI Cincinnati is sponsoring a photo booth from TapSnap and will be on site Sunday, July 12 and Wednesday, July 15 whereby passengers can select from five different backdrops and upload pictures immediately to Social Media.

The All-Star Organizing Committee is sponsoring the ArtsWave schedule at CVG. On Thursday, July 9 from 3 – 5 p.m. passengers will be entertained by the MadCap Puppets, McGing Irish Dancers, Cincinnati Suzuki Academy, and the University of Cincinnati College Conservatory of Music Sax and Guitar Duo. On Friday, July 10 from 3 – 5 p.m., passengers will be entertained by the MadCap Puppets, Pones, Inc., Cincy Balia Dance, University of Cincinnati College Conservatory of Music Strolling Violinist and the Voices of Indiana Choir.

Passengers will also find one of the 20 moustache benches from around city located on the ticketing level in the terminal. In addition to the bench, the airport is filled with the All-Star Game logo including a giant, in-house custom built sign that measures 20 ft. wide x 10 ft. tall hanging from ceiling in main terminal.
