May 31, 2013 — Delta Air Lines has changed its schedule between Cincinnati and three western cities, offering more convenient flight times for business and leisure travelers.

Late-night “red-eye” flights from Las Vegas, Seattle and San Francisco will move to departures near the noon hour starting in September, allowing passengers to arrive at Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport in the early evening versus early morning hours.

The flight makes it easier for travelers who must work the next day and for those making connections at CVG.

“We heard from our passengers that the red-eye flights were difficult and we responded by requesting change from Delta,” said James Huff, chairman of the Kenton County Airport Board. “They were very accommodating. We appreciate the ongoing dialogue we have with them about improving the passenger experience at CVG.”

The Las Vegas flight previously departed for CVG at 11:55 p.m. and arrived at 6:36 a.m. It will now leave Las Vegas at 12:15 p.m. and arrive at CVG at 6:57 p.m.

The Seattle flight left for CVG at 11:15 p.m. and arrived at 6:23 a.m. It will now leave Seattle at noon and arrive at CVG at 7:17 p.m.

The San Francisco flight changes from an 11:15 p.m. departure and 6:39 a.m. arrival at CVG to a noon departure from San Francisco and 7:22 p.m. arrival at CVG.

Departure times from CVG to those cities have also been modified, but very slightly and all still will be morning departures.

Candace McGraw, chief executive officer at CVG, said all three cities are popular destinations for the region’s travelers and she’s delighted the airport and Delta were able to find a more accommodating travel schedule.

“We love to hear from our passengers, because it can lead to positive changes like these,” she said. “We constantly look for new ideas, and many of those ideas come from customer feedback. When you talk, we listen.”
