Frontier Adding Service to 5 New Destinations

08/28/2014

Las Vegas, Phoenix, Dallas, Orlando and Fort Lauderdale

Inaugural Fares as Low as $14.99 One-Way Today Only

August 28, 2014 — Frontier Airlines announces five new destinations from CVG to Dallas/Ft.Worth, Fort Lauderdale, Las Vegas, Orlando and Phoenix.

Frontier will now serve 10 destinations from CVG, which includes service to Denver, Trenton, and Washington, DC - Dulles. Frontier also operates the flights to Cancun and Punta Cana for Apple Vacations.

“We are excited to offer five new Frontier destinations for residents of the Cincinnati area and appreciate the continued support of the Cincinnati community,” said Barry Biffle, Frontier's President. “These jaw dropping low introductory fares attest to our commitment to make air travel more affordable and accessible. We are confident customers will love our amazing low fares and the ability to optimize their travel experience for the comfort and value they seek.”

This new service from Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport will operate on a 138-seat Airbus A319 aircraft.  At FlyFrontier.com, customers can always choose from either of Frontier's fare options - Classic Plus or Economy.  Classic Plus is a fully refundable fare that includes amenities like no change fees, a carry-on bag, one checked bag and stretch seating.  With Frontier's Economy fares, customers can pay our lowest fares and add-on the services they want - like selecting a seat assignment, a carry-on bag, and checked bags.

“This is a truly remarkable day at CVG,” said Candace McGraw, chief executive officer, Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport. “Frontier was the first low cost carrier to begin service at CVG in May 2013 with one daily flight to Denver. Within 18 months of beginning service from CVG, Frontier will offer 41 flights per week to 10 destinations. By adding service to Las Vegas, Phoenix, Dallas, Orlando and Fort Lauderdale, Frontier will increase their flights at CVG by 106%.”

“This is just another example of the success for Frontier Airlines,” said Wm. T. (Bill) Robinson III, Kenton County Airport Board Chairman. “This addition further expands CVG's low cost carrier foot print and further enhances our ability to provide a variety of options to customers in the tri-state region. This success would not be possible without the support of the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky community.”

Airport and airline officials were all smiles as Frontier announced it was adding nonstop flights to five new destinations, effectively doubling its service at CVG, and positioning itself for further growth.
