Doubles service to Ft. Lauderdale, Orlando & Vegas

Feb. 23, 2015 — Frontier Airlines announces new daily direct service to Fort Myers, FL (RSW) and Atlanta, GA (ATL). In addition, service to Fort Lauderdale (FLL) will increase from three times per week to seven times per week; service to Orlando (MCO) will increase from four times per week to seven flights per week; service to Las Vegas (LAS) will increase from one flight per day to two times per day.

Frontier will continue offering daily service to Denver (DEN) and Dallas (DFW). Frontier will continue to offer service to Washington, DC - Dulles (IAD). Frontier also operates flights to Cancun (CUN) and Punta Cana (PUJ). These new service additions will go into effect on April 30  and will have an estimated $75 million economic impact to the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky region.

“We are pleased to announce new low fare nonstop service from Cincinnati to Atlanta and Fort Myers, making these two destinations more accessible and affordable for travelers in the Ohio, Northern Kentucky and Southeastern Indiana region,” said Frontier Airlines Senior Vice President of Commercial, Daniel Shurz. “Our customers in Cincinnati have overwhelmingly embraced our Low Fares Done Right philosophy of bringing reliable service and reasonably priced options illustrating how low fares can stimulate demand and new flights.”

This new service from Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport will operate on a 138-seat Airbus A319 aircraft.  At FlyFrontier.com, customers can always choose from either of Frontier's fare options - Classic Plus or Economy.  Classic Plus is a fully refundable fare that includes amenities like no change fees, a carry-on bag, one checked bag, and STRETCH seating.  With Frontier's Economy fares, customers can pay our lowest fares and add-on the services they want - like selecting a seat assignment, a carry-on bag, and checked bags.

“This is a truly remarkable day at CVG,” said Candace McGraw, chief executive officer, Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport. “Frontier was the first low cost carrier to begin service at CVG in May 2013 with one daily flight to Denver. In less than two years, Frontier will offer 61 flights per week to 11 destinations. With this announcement, Frontier will increase from 32 flights to 61 flights and will increase its weekly seats from 4,500 to 8,500.”

“This is just another example of the success for Frontier Airlines,” said Wm. T. (Bill) Robinson III, Kenton County Airport Board Chairman. “This addition further expands CVG's low cost carrier foot print and enhances our ability to provide a variety of options to customers in the Tri-State region. With this addition, low cost carriers will account for 17% of our flight operation in the second quarter 2015. This success would not be possible without the support of the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky community.”

As part of the celebration of new and expanded air service and a thank you to the strong support shown from the community, Frontier will have a “cash cube” on site filled with Frontier's Flying Bucks.
