Frontier Announces New Service to Washington Dulles
05/13/2014
May 13, 2014 — Frontier Airlines announces its third destination from the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG) to Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD). The service will be offered four times a week beginning on September 8, 2014.
“We are excited to offer residents in the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky area nonstop service to Colorado, New Jersey, and now the DC area,” said Daniel Shurz, Frontier’s senior vice president, commercial. “We are confident customers will love our amazing low fares to Washington Dulles and our newly launched fare structure that empowers the customer to optimize their travel experience for the comfort and value they seek.”
This new service from Cincinnati will operate on 168-seat Airbus A320 aircraft, which offer many customer amenities, including six rows of comfortable STRETCH seating with an additional five to seven inches of legroom, and the airline’s SELECT seating product. Frontier’s website, FlyFrontier.com is the only place a seat assignment is available at the time of booking.
“This is just another example of the success for Frontier Airlines. Since their first CVG flight to Denver in May of 2013, they have grown from 6 to 19 weekly flights and added 2 new destinations in just a matter of 15 months,” said Wm. T. (Bill) Robinson III, Kenton County Airport Board Chairman. “By adding service to Washington Dulles, Frontier has again expanded CVG's low cost carrier foot print and further enhanced our ability to provide a variety of options to customers in the tri-state region.”
Candace McGraw, CVG CEO, added, “Frontier offers a great price point for our passengers. The Washington, DC area is a top destination for both our business and leisure passengers. Frontier’s continued expansion at CVG shows the community supports the low cost carrier model. We look forward to continued expansion of Frontier Airlines at CVG.”
