12/15/2016
Dec. 15, 2016 — Frontier Airlines adds new nonstop service from CVG to Cancun Saturday, 12/17, with a sold-out flight that departs at 6:00 a.m. The low-cost route will operate once a week on Saturdays.
“Travelers in Cincinnati have told us that they want more low fare Frontier flights,” said Daniel Shurz, senior vice president, commercial, Frontier Airlines. “We’re thrilled to offer travelers this new low-cost, nonstop service to Cancun. We look forward to welcoming new passengers on-board and introducing them to our Low Fares Done Right philosophy.”
“The growth of Frontier at CVG over the last three years has been tremendous,” said Candace McGraw, chief executive officer, CVG. “Frontier now offers 14 nonstop year-round and/or seasonal destinations with more than 50 flights a week. Their success would not have been possible without the support of the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky community.”
Frontier began service from CVG in May of 2013 with one daily flight to Denver. In March of this year, Frontier celebrated its one-millionth customer at CVG by awarding that passenger with free travel on Frontier for one year. In addition to Denver and Cancun, Frontier also provides nonstop service to Atlanta, Dallas, Ft. Lauderdale, Fort Myers, Houston, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Orlando, Philadelphia, Phoenix, San Francisco and Tampa/St. Petersburg.
