Feb. 24, 20145 — Allegiant Travel Company announces expanded service from the CVG to Austin, TX (AUS) and Savannah, GA (SAV).

Allegiant will offer seasonal service to Savannah/Hilton Head starting on May 8 with flights operating on Monday and Friday. Allegiant will offer seasonal service to Austin starting June 4 with flights operating on Thursday and Sunday.

“As one of Allegiant’s fastest growing markets in their 15 year history, we are thrilled Allegiant is expanding their capacity to include Austin and Savannah,” said Wm.T. (Bill) Robinson III, Kenton County Airport Board Chairman. “Allegiant started service from CVG in February 2014 with four weekly flights. With the new markets announced today, Allegiant will offer over 30 weekly flights to 11 destinations.”

“Allegiant is pleased to once again be expanding in CVG,” said Jude Bricker, Allegiant Travel Company senior vice president of planning. “We know both Hilton Head and Austin are popular destinations for local travelers, and we’re excited to become Cincinnati’s go-to airline for vacation travel.”

“We are proud Allegiant is expanding two of our most popular destinations to now offer nonstop low cost, vacation centered service,” said Candace McGraw, chief executive officer, Cincinnati / Northern Kentucky International Airport. “The additional flights, will add over 1,300 seats in and out of CVG weekly, continuing our trend of increased seat capacity. This expansion would not be possible without the immense support from the Tri-State region.”
