Oktoberfest Kicks Off at CVG

09/19/2014

Sept. 19, 2014 – CVG, partnering with the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber, will kick off the 39th Annual Oktoberfest Zinzinnati in German style on Friday from 8 – 10 a.m.

The Pete Wagner Schnapps Band will provide great polka sounds, and we will offer Bavarian pretzels and soft-drinks for passengers coming through CVG.

“As the front door to the community and a bigger than expected crowd with the Bengals hosting the Tennessee Titans and the University of Cincinnati Homecoming game on the same weekend, we are excited to partner with the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber for everyone coming to visit our region,” said Candace McGraw, chief executive officer, Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport.

Oktoberfest Zinzinnati showcases the rich German heritage of Cincinnati, as well as tasty samples of German-style music, food and beer. First held in 1976, the event has grown to be North America’s largest Oktoberfest with more than a half million people attending each year.

“As America’s Oktoberfest—a world-class event, we want to roll out a huge German welcome to greet our visitors,” said Patrick Sheeran, vice president of the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber.

“We are excited to welcome travelers to the region for weekend full of fun, food and football,” said Wm. T. (Bill) Robinson III. For more information, please check out OktoberfestZinzinnati.com.
