Business Courier: CVG moves up list of largest cargo airports
_Cincinnati Business Courier_ / Chris Wetterich / September 24, 2019Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport has passed one of New York City’s airports to become the seventh-largest cargo airport by volume in the United States. CVG passed John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York, according to federal statistics. Carriers serving CVG carried 104,569 tons of cargo during August, down 0.9 percent from the same month in 2018. Year to date, cargo volume is up nearly 2 percent. Cargo-related operations make up the majority of landed weight at CVG. About 621 million pounds of the airport’s landed weight came from cargo compared with 464 million pounds of non-cargo. Southwest Airlines announces new seasonal service from CVG to Tampa and Fort Lauderdale

American Airlines adds Seasonal Service from CVG to Phoenix

(July 23, 2019) – American Airlines announced it will begin daily seasonal service to Phoenix from Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG) beginning December 18, 2019 through April 6, 2020. Airfares remain lowest in region as CVG breaks local passenger records
Erlanger, Ky. (July 17, 2019) – The U.S. Department of Transportation released its average airfare ranking report for first quarter 2019, and the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG) once again has the lowest airfares in the region. Among the top 100 U.S. domestic airports, CVG ranked #63. The CVG average fare of $347 made CVG the only airport in the region to have lower airfare than the national average of $353.
