CVG Airport Fire and Rescue receive Lifesaver’s EMS Award and Fire Department of the Year
Erlanger, Ky. (June 13, 2019) ― The Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG) fire and rescue department recently received the Lifesaver’s EMS Award from St. Elizabeth Healthcare. The award was given to the outstanding team for their quick response and actions during an emergency. A tourniquet carried by emergency responders was quickly applied which saved the patient’s life.Earlier this year, the department was also awarded 2018 Fire Department of the Year by the Northern Kentucky Firefighter’s Association. The airport fire department is unique as its daily duties include responding to passenger and employee emergencies. Each firefighter/EMT/paramedic carries a tourniquet as part of the airport’s bleeding control plan. Tourniquets and other medical supplies are also stationed throughout the public areas of the airport in the event they are quickly needed. Allegiant Starts New Nonstop Service to Virginia Beach from Cincinnati with Fares as Low as $71*

Three new shops open at CVG
Erlanger, Ky. CVG receives Air Carrier Safety Award from FAA
Erlanger, Ky. (April 23, 2019) – The Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG) has been named the winner of the Air Carrier Safety Award as part of 2018 FAA Southern Region Airports Division Safety Awards that took place last evening.According to the FAA, “this program offers us the opportunity to acknowledge and celebrate the hard work and success of our colleagues who have exhibited excellence in aviation safety.”In the award submission, CVG highlighted that it installed 116 radar-technology surveillance units in its ground vehicles that travel in movement areas of the airfield. CVG has the lowest airfares in the region
Erlanger, Ky. (April 16, 2019) – The U.S. Department of Transportation released its average airfare ranking report for fourth quarter 2018, and the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG) once again has the lowest airfares in the region. Among the top 100 U.S. domestic airports, CVG ranked #78. CVG Airport Career Center opens in Terminal
Erlanger, Ky.
