Allegiant Adding 2 New Destinations with Fares as Low as $39
June 20, 2017 — Allegiant announces new, nonstop flights connecting Cincinnati to: Los Angeles and the Raleigh / Durham area of North Carolina. CVG and Local Boy Scouts Celebrate Memorial Day
May 25, 2017 — Local Scouts will help celebrate Memorial Day by placing more than 400 flags at the entrance of the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG). The flags will be installed on Saturday, May 27, 10:30 – 11:00 a.m.“We look forward to this display every year as it is a way to honor the brave men and women who lost their lives serving our country,” said Candace McGraw, chief executive officer, CVG. “We thank Boy Scout Troop #1, the Sons of the American Legion and all the volunteers who participate.”CVG honors troops year round in the USO Military Lounges located in Concourses A and B. More than 15,000 military personnel, veterans and families visit the lounges each year. The lounges provide a quiet place to relax before flights, with complimentary snacks and travel items donated by the community. CVG Offering More Flights and Destinations this Summer

Destinations such as Baltimore/Washington D.C., Chicago, Denver, Minneapolis, New York City and San Diego have been added to the low-cost, nonstop flight mix. Frontier Celebrates Two-Millionth CVG Passenger
Surprises Lucky Customer with a Year’s Free TravelMay 18, 2017 — Frontier Airlines thanked their two-millionth CVG passenger, Lori, of Seaman, OH, and her guest, with one year’s worth of travel, and free parking provided by CVG. The lucky winner was headed to Disney World, and was surprised before boarding a Frontier flight to Orlando, Fl.“It was just one year ago that we joined our partners at CVG to welcome aboard Frontier’s one-millionth passenger,” said Richard Oliver, Frontier Airlines spokesman. “Thanks to the wonderful support of this community, we’re able to welcome aboard our two-millionth passenger today.”“Frontier started service on May 17, 2013, and in almost exactly four years they have reached two million passengers,” said Candace McGraw, chief executive officer, CVG. “The success is all due to the community’s positive response to their low-cost options to desired destinations.”In mid-April, Frontier launched new nonstop service from CVG to New York City via LaGuardia and Minneapolis, and will begin new nonstop service to San Diego this Sunday, May 21. Circle Tail Brings Service Dogs to CVG for Training
May 15, 2017 — On Saturday, 5/13, Circle Tail brought approximately 20 people who are either a volunteer foster or recipient of 12 Circle Tail service dogs and two trainers to CVG. The participants worked with the service dogs so they could get acquainted with the airport experience including security screening and progressing to the gate areas.Elements of training, included: Fosters and recipients with their dogs went through TSA security screening to figure out how best to progress through the system with their dog. Dogs were socialized with moving sidewalks, trams, food court, restrooms, escalators and service animal relief area. Individuals and dogs went onto an aircraft to understand moving down the aisle and seating. They then returned to baggage claim to become familiar with luggage carousels and handling. “It is a pleasure to work with all the people who make CVG Airport a great place to fly,” said Marlys Staley, Executive Director, Circle Tail. “We appreciate the opportunity to provide this unique experience to our service/hearing dogs in training and for our service/hearing dog teams who may be flying in the future.”“Our vision is to make travel through CVG an unforgettably positive experience for all of our travelers, and it’s a privilege to assist with this program that familiarizes service dogs with the airport to ensure a smooth and memorable experience for everyone,” said Candace McGraw, chief executive officer, CVG.Circle Tail is a Cincinnati non-profit organization that trains and provides service animals for people with disabilities at no cost (www.circletail.org). CVG Airfares Continues to Drop
The U.S. Dept. of Transportation released its average airfare ranking report for fourth quarter 2016. CVG Experiences Strong, Historic First Quarter
April 24, 2017 — The first quarter of 2017 proved to be strong and historic for CVG, with continued passenger growth and major announcements.Total enplanements were up 11.1 percent year-over-year and local passengers were up 15.9 percent. CVG set a new first quarter cargo tonnage record with more than 205,000 tons handled, totaling a year-over-year increase of 8 percent.The biggest economic development deal in the region was signed between the airport and Amazon to build its global air cargo hub at CVG. The $1.5 billion investment will support a fleet of 100+ Prime Air cargo planes. Other details of the deal include: More than 900 acres of CVG land leased for 50+ years Construction of a three million square foot sort facility and accessory buildings Add more than 2,700 jobs to CVG’s existing base of 10,000Southwest-CVG announcement group photoThe expected activity and landed weight of Amazon’s operations will enable CVG to continue lowering its landing fees, benefiting all carriers while ensuring CVG remains a great place to do business.Southwest Airlines announced that it will start service June 4th by offering 55 weekly flights with service to Baltimore/Washington (3x a day) and Chicago Midway (5x a day). Two gates in Concourse A are currently being refurbished for the inaugural flights. South west becomes the 10th passenger carrier at CVG, which now provides nonstop service to 55 destinations with 175 peak-day departures.Southwest jet bridge installationIn March, CVG was named the best world airport serving 5 – 10 million passengers in the 2017 Skytrax World Airport Awards. CVG was also voted as the best regional airport in North America for the sixth time.Other major announcements included: Delta growing its CVG capacity by 6 percent and expanding service to 13 existing CVG markets. Frontier growing its service by 20 percent with the addition of new nonstop service to New York City – LaGuardia, San Diego and Minneapolis/St. Paul. Frontier Launches Service to NYC & Minneapolis
April 21, 2017 — Frontier Airlines added new nonstop service from CVG to New York City – LaGuardia and Minneapolis/St. Paul today with two inaugural flight celebrations including ribbon-cutting ceremonies, a #CVGselfie station and gifts for passengers.Service to LaGuardia now operates daily using 180-seat A320 aircraft. Service to Minneapolis/St. Paul operates four times a week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday) using 150-seat A319 aircraft.“We’re thrilled to provide new low fare service on these routes where people from the Cincinnati area want to fly,” said Josh Flyr, vice president – network and revenue. “The entire Cincinnati area has supported us since we first launched service, and it’s that support that has allowed us to introduce these new routes today.”“The growth of Frontier at CVG over the last three and a half years has been incredible,” said Candace McGraw, chief executive officer, CVG. “Frontier now offers 17 nonstop year-round and/or seasonal destinations with 93 flights a week.
